Special News!
The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) has denied the Petition issued by Rosslyn Farms to pull away from the district and merge with the Chartiers Valley School District. PDE has dismissed the appeal and has upheld the original decision made by Secretary Carolyn Dumaresq. "The Petition for Establishment of Independent School District for the Purpose of Transferring from One School District to Another" was originally filed on behalf of Rosslyn Farms in 2011. PDE has stated the Petition to transfer from Carlynton to Chartiers Valley was not meritorious from an educational standpoint.  PDE also alleged that the Petition would create a discontiguous district by creating a gap between Carnegie and Crafton, which conflicts with the School Code's preference for contiguous boroughs within a school district. This separation would also increase travel distance and time for students.

The School Board adopted a new Parking Policy at the meeting of June 23, 2014. The policy will be strictly enforced. Parking Policy No. 719
