Elementary schools to host Cultural Days
The elementary schools are preparing for Cultural Days, May 13 at Carnegie Elementary, and May 14 at Crafton Elementary.
Students are studying and researching a variety of countries around the world. They are learning about the culture, food, songs, dances, types of employment and the government of each country.
Their hard work will be displayed during Cultural Day, when they will "travel the world" with passports in hand. Parents and relatives are invited!
In addition to viewing student work, performances will be held in the auditorium to showcase the dances and customs of various countries.
Pictured in the photo above are students from Carnegie Elementary learning the tarentella, a traditional Italian dance.
